For this purpose, we analyze archaeological assemblages, mainly based on their manufacturing waste-products, in light of the results of a previous experimental program. The results of this work confirm that two main extraction techniques were used in the area: fracturing and perimetral sawing. We would like to thank I. Cruz and M.

The specific topics covered by Gayana are based on original works and investigations and revision articles on taxonomy, systematics, philogenia, biogeography and oceanology. Evolutive aspects are considered within these topics based on morphology, physiology, ecology and paleontology. The four issues published yearly constitute one volume. This journal covers anatomy in all its aspects-gross, histological and developmental, as applied to medical practice, as well as morphological aspects of molecular, cellular, systems, or evolutionary biology. Reviews, short and brief communications and Letters to the Editor are also accepted. They will be critically refereed by at least two independent reviewers who are either members of the Editorial Board or ad hoc referees and who are committed to processing manuscripts as quickly as possible and to the highest standards.
The null hypothesis indicates that random evolutionary processes would explain this variation, while the alternative hypothesis refers to non-random processes, like directional selection or phenotypic plasticity, linked to temperature. Spatial comparative methods simple correlation and variation partition analysis were combined with those derived from quantitative genetics divergence rate analysis. Also, the agreement between observed variation and biological expectations from experimental studies was evaluated.
